Milwaukee leads the series 2-0 and the NLCS moves to Los Angeles tonight. Here is what you need to know before first pitch.

The National League Championship Series shifts to Dodger Stadium tonight with the Milwaukee Brewers up 2-0 on the Los Angeles Dodgers. Milwaukee took Game 1 by a score of 2-1 and Game 2 by 7-4, both at home. Los Angeles now has to turn its star power into production in front of its own crowd, and Milwaukee has a chance to take a commanding lead.

Everything below is built to help you prepare, whether you are setting a DFS lineup, researching a prop or building a ticket with the MLB AI parlay builder. Starting pitchers, lineups and injury news can change before first pitch, so confirm them on the starting pitchers page, the MLB player news and the tonight's MLB board before you lock anything.

THE SERIES SO FAR AND THE SETUP FOR GAME 3

Both teams arrived here on strong regular seasons. Milwaukee finished 103-59 and Los Angeles finished 100-62. Our MLB team streaks and the tonight's MLB board show how each team has been hitting and pitching going in, and the final scores from Games 1 and 2 are on the MLB box scores.

The trap for anybody researching tonight is assuming the more famous team is the safer team. Name recognition is not a system. Look at who is pitching, who is in the lineup and who is healthy, and let the numbers on the site decide.

STARTING-PITCHER MATCHUP: ROBERT GASSER VS. BLAKE SNELL

Both starting pitchers are left-handed. Milwaukee is expected to send Robert Gasser and Los Angeles is expected to send Blake Snell.

Blake Snell, Dodgers. Snell is a strikeout pitcher, which makes him a natural target for DFS and strikeout-market research. The question every time is efficiency. Walks and long counts drive up the pitch count, shorten the outing and cut into the strikeouts a pitcher can pile up. Check his expected workload before you decide his name is worth the salary.

Robert Gasser, Brewers. Gasser is a possible lower-cost pitching option for DFS players. His outing depends on commanding the zone, getting ahead in counts and handling a Dodgers lineup full of power. If you are considering him, think about his floor as carefully as his ceiling.

Always confirm the official starters before you lock a lineup or research a pitching market. Our starting pitchers page tracks the probable starters as they are announced.

PROJECTED LINEUPS

These are projected lineups, not confirmed ones. Check the official lineup cards an hour or two before first pitch.

Milwaukee Brewers against Snell: Jackson Chourio, LF; Brice Turang, 2B; William Contreras, C; Jake Bauers, 1B; Christian Yelich, DH; Cooper Pratt, SS; Luis Lara, RF; Garrett Mitchell, CF; Joey Ortiz, 3B.

Los Angeles Dodgers against Gasser: Mookie Betts, SS; Freddie Freeman, 1B; Teoscar Hernández, LF; Shohei Ohtani, DH; Will Smith, C; Andy Pages, CF; Kyle Tucker, RF; Kiké Hernández, 3B; Miguel Rojas, 2B.

INJURY REPORT AND LINEUP ALERTS

Postseason injuries move DFS projections and markets in a hurry. The reported concerns heading into Game 3:

These are reported concerns, not confirmation of anyone's status tonight. Check the official MLB injury report and the final lineups. A late scratch can change the value of an entire stack or ticket. The MLB player news posts changes as they happen.

DFS RESEARCH: WHAT TO CHECK BEFORE YOU LOCK

This is a framework, not a lineup. The names below are the ones worth looking at, and the confirmed lineup decides whether they are actually in play.

Brewers hitters. William Contreras is the middle-of-the-order bat to watch, because hits and extra-base production give him several ways to score fantasy points. Christian Yelich and Jackson Chourio are the other Brewers names that show up near the top of the projected order. Check lineup spot, handedness matchup against a left-hander and salary.

Dodgers hitters. Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman sit at the top of the projected order, which means plate appearances. A pairing like that makes sense in a Dodgers stack only if both are confirmed active and the salaries leave room for the rest of the roster. If either is limited or out, the stack has to change.

Cash games. Prioritize dependable playing time, confirmed lineup spots, expected plate appearances and pitchers with a reasonable workload.

Tournaments. Stack hitters whose production can complement one another. A top-of-the-order hitter paired with teammates who can drive him in makes a more coherent lineup than a handful of unrelated names with no clear scoring path. The MLB DFS lineups and the start/sit board rank the options.

Always check the final salaries, eligibility and contest rules before you lock your roster.

PLAYER PROP RESEARCH: THE MARKETS WORTH LOOKING AT

Prices and availability vary, and we do not quote them here. These are the markets worth researching, not assumed lines.

A player having a good game recently does not make his over a good bet. The price and the number matter as much as the name. Use the odds converter and the parlay calculator to turn any price into an implied percentage, and see how hitters have been doing on the home run page and the hot tonight page.

PARLAY AND LINE-SHOPPING CHECKLIST

Parlays are high-risk. Every extra leg is another condition that has to hit, so a bigger payout is not the same thing as better value. Build one on the MLB AI parlay builder, run it through the parlay calculator, and check the MLB verdicts for the legs the system favors. Our call on tonight's game lives on the verdicts page and nowhere else, so you will always see one side from us.

For the full playbook, from straight bets to parlays to bankroll, read the Sports Betting Strategy Book. The heatmap shows the markets side by side once you are ready to compare.

THE BOTTOM LINE

The Dodgers have the talent and the home crowd. Milwaukee has earned a 2-0 lead. Don't bet the logo, don't ignore the injury report, and don't confuse a desperate team with a guaranteed winner. Verify the batting orders, compare the numbers, and make every DFS salary and every dollar count.

Follow the game on the live scoreboard, and see the final box on the MLB box scores.
